The Satellite Hospitals Program (SHP) is a Queensland Government commitment to deliver seven new facilities to support public healthcare delivery in rapidly growing communities across Southeast Queensland. Hutchison Builders was awarded several packages - Tugun SHP was one of these locations.

O'Sullivan Ground Engineering was awarded the design and construct package for stabilisation works on the Western, Middle and Eastern slope embankments at theSHP1 project for Hutchison builders in July 2022.

The awarded works included all geotechnical, design and engineering work, pre, during and post contract works.

Works commenced in August 2022, with tree removal and vegetation being removed from the embankments. Geotechnical investigations were observed on each embankment with minor design changes

Drilling of rock bolts was completed with a long reach excavator and EWP's.

All steel fixing and coloured shotcrete was installed with EWP's, concrete pumps and franna's. O'Sullivan Ground Engineering had zero LTI's and completed the project within the timeframe that was allocated by the main client.
