The Pacific Motorway (M1) between Palm Beach and Tugun (Package C) is the third and final section of the M1 Pacific Motorway Varsity Lakes to Tugun (VL2T) upgrade.
Package C involves the widening of a 5km section of the motorway, between Nineteenth Avenue Overpass and the Tugun interchange.
O’Sullivan was engaged by the head contractor to supply ground engineering services for the project – that included sheet pile installation, soil nails and rock bolt supply and installation, shotcrete and steel fixing supply and installation.
Overall Quantities:
Rock Bolts and Soil Nails - 7500+ lineal meters
Steel fixing - 3000+ m2 (double layer on most areas)
Shotcrete – 3000+ m2 (mostly of a B2 standard finish)
Temp sheet pile installation at several locations
