Purga Creek

O'Sullivan Ground Engineering was awarded the steel fixing, shotcrete and soil nails at Little Purga Creek at Yamanto (Cunningham Hwy) by Roadtek. The works included supply and placement of all materials which consisted of 25 mm soil nails, galved mesh and TMR approved shotcrete mix. The existing embankment retention method had failed due to recent weather conditions and flooding. The client prepared the site by removing the old retention system and presented O'Sullivan with a blank canvas.

All soil nails were hand drilled due to the overhead restrictions of the existing bridge, then our steel fixers and shotcretors completed the next tasks.

Works commenced in June 2023; O'Sullivan Ground Engineering completed the works in the time requested by the client due to the approaching inclement weather. All shotcrete was finished with a high standard gun finish.
